Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-3 loss to Westside on Thursday. Westside scored on a double by Gil Senn, a double by Jordan Gibert, and a home run by Hunter Marchbanks in the first inning.
Westside took an early lead in the first inning. Gil Senn drove in one when he doubled in the first inning.
Westside scored four runs in the third inning. Westside’s big inning was driven by a error, a groundout by Senn, and a double by Jordan Gibert.
Camron Carey earned the win for Westside. He pitched four and a third innings, giving up one run, three hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Two relievers helped Westside close out the victory. #24 threw two and a third innings. Aaron Wimpey took the loss for Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity. He tossed three innings, giving up eight runs, six hits, and striking out one.
Home runs for Westside came when Hunter Marchbanks homered in the first inning and Gibert homered in the seventh inning.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity had six hits in the game. Chandler Skelly and Cole Simpson each collected multiple hits for Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity. Skelly, Hayden Fuhr, and Ben Huber each drove in one run to lead Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity.
Westside collected 11 hits. Gibert and Chris Laney each collected multiple hits for Westside. Gibert led Westside with four runs batted in. He went 4-for-4 on the day.
