Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Palmetto
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Palmetto on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Ben Huber singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Palmetto scored three runs in the sixth inning, but Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Palmetto came thanks to a single by Austin Nichols, a sacrifice fly by Michael Kay, and an error on a ball put in play by Chase Clemens.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Palmetto tied things up at four. An error scored one run for Palmetto.
Cole Simpson pitched Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity to victory. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out ten and walking zero.
Mason Latham took the loss for Palmetto. He lasted one inning, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out one.
Logan Seigler started the game for Palmetto. He allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five.
