Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity defeated Anderson Cavaliers 10-0 on Wednesday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Clay Martin doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity notched five runs in the sixth inning. Payton Bunch, Martin, Ian Powell, Hayden Fuhr, and Peyton Hawkins each drove in runs during the inning.
A single by Brody Geddings in the first inning was a positive for Anderson Cavaliers.
Will Barnes pitched Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity to victory. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one. Ellison Walker, Kennan Worley, and Hawkins all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Logan Walters took the loss for Anderson Cavaliers. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing four hits and four runs.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity tallied ten hits. Martin and Jacob Morris each racked up multiple hits for Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity. Martin went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity in hits. Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity stole 11 bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Hawkins led the way with four.
