A five-run second inning led Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity to an 8-2 victory on Thursday. The big inning was thanks to a single by Harper Bass and a home run by Gracie Cobb.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Reine Wood singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity notched five runs in the second inning. Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity’s offense in the inning came from a single by Bass and a home run by Cobb.
Rileigh Farr pitched Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity to victory. She surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out seven.
#23 took the loss for Berea. She went two and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking zero.
Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity launched one home run on the day. Cobb put one out in the second inning.
