Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-1 loss to Wren on Wednesday. Wren took the lead on a single in the first inning.
The Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Wren, giving up seven runs.
Wren opened up scoring in the first inning. Wren scored two runs when #6 singled.
Wren scored five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Wren was led by #6, #4, #13, and #1, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
#9 was in the circle for Wren. She surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.
Rileigh Farr was in the pitcher’s circle for Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity. She lasted two and a third innings, allowing ten hits and six runs while walking zero. Laney Jennings threw four and two-thirds innings in relief.
Amelia Kizer, Reine Wood, Jennings, and Bridget Barnes each managed one hit to lead Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity.
