Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity took the lead late and defeated Liberty 4-3 on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity batting in the top of the ninth when Payton Bunch doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Liberty got things moving in the first inning. Logan Cartee hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Liberty tied things up at three when an error scored one run for Liberty.
Bunch took the win for Pendleton Bulldogs Varsity. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Casey Gambrell took the loss for Liberty. He lasted two innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero.
